4th Rodeo [Voice/Action]

[After nearly a full day of baking, everything is finally ready, and Applejack is far too happy with the results. It's about time to pay back her friends here for their help. And there's more food here than she quite realized she was making, so there's enough left over to feed just about anyone interested. Somehow, that just makes it all better. Everypony here needs some good home-style cooking from time to time. It's good for the soul.

And so, once she's got her tables set up out in the sunshine, laden with just about every appletastic treat imaginable, she sends out the message.]

Howdy, everypo-- everyone! [Slowly fixing ponyisms. Slowly.] If anyone's hungry, y'all can come on down ta the farmlands. Ah wanted ta say 'thank you' ta everyp-- everyone for helpin' me before, an'... [Sheepish chuckle.] Ah guess Ah went a li'l bit overboard. But there's food for anyp--one who's hungry! There's apple pie, apple fritters, apple cupcakes, apple donuts, caramel apples, candy apples, an' apple tarts.

All are welcome! [Slight pause. Idea! What if somepony's hurt or sick or working? With a nod, she adds,] An' if anyone needs somethin' delivered, you just let me know an' Ah'll bring it on over.

[Rokuta spends several minutes squinting at the journal before he finally gives in and just asks. Maybe it's a little impolite, but.]

Are you actually a horse?

[Applejack grins. This isn't the first time she's had that question since she got here.]

Well, Ah'm a pony, but you were pretty close.

Huh. What's the difference?

We're smaller'n horses. [She pauses for a moment, thinking about it, and then adds:] An' Ah think the horses most folks 'round here are used ta are more like pets.

[As someone who has also made enough food to feed a small village, Sanji whistles softly and commends Applejack for her hard work.]

I see Applejack's been busy~!

Oh. Okay.

[But he still sounds thoughtful, because there's something else puzzling him.]

So how do you, y'know, use the journal? With hooves?

[He certainly hasn't figured that part out.]

[He has again run out of what little food he had in his house... and he doesn't want to go to the store again. Not after his things tasted like... anything but what they were supposed to taste like.

So Applejack's message looks very, very nice right now. Apples, when was the last time he had apples? Those apple pies and apple crisps he used to have ~~never mind that none of this makes a real main course~~. He's never met this talking ~~horse~~ pony before, so he guesses she isn't thanking him... but he comes by to the farm anyway because all of that sounds too good to pass up.

Therefore, here: have a big hungry Beast awkwardly but determinedly walking up to your farm.]

Wow, that sounds like one heck of a feast you've got prepared! Is anyone allowed to show up or is it a private occasion because I love apples and this is just unfair to hear about if I can't partake.

[That, and he has no idea you're a pony. It should be hilarious.]

Y-you sure do sound like you have a lot of delicious food. Sure you don't mind sharing with just anyone? [So many apples, and they just happen to be his favorite fruit.]

[...it's a horse. A talking horse.

This really is an interesting place, isn't it!]

I wasn't aware that we had an apple orchard here.

Well, if you whipped up that much stuff, then you're definitely gonna need an extra hoof to take care of it.

[And AJ's cooking is awesome, so she's totally up for it.]

[Blank stare. How does anyone use the journal?]

With my hooves an' my nose, of course. Same as Ah'd use any kinda book.

[She laughs, knowing full well that Sanji knows the work that goes into making so much food.]

Well, it was worth it! Ah had ta thank everypony somehow. Are ya hungry, Sanji?

[Applejack goes still in surprise for a moment when she first sees Beast walking up. He is huge and doesn't look all that friendly at first glance, after all.

After the first shock of surprise, though, she can see the awkwardness in his stride. Maybe he's just hungry, then. And a little shy, maybe? The thought brings a small grin to her face. If that's the case, then he's just like Big Macintosh... huge, but just like anyone else once you get past the shock.

Besides, everyone she's met so far - save that vampire - has been really nice. Might as well greet him like a friend.]

Howdy there! Anythin' Ah can get for ya?

[Applejack chuckles a bit, but shakes her head.]

Nah, the invitation's open ta anyone who's hungry! There's more'n enough ta go around.

'Course Ah don't mind! Ah made way too much for just the folks Ah've already met here, an' more friends always makes the food taste better anyhow. [Donuts, Vash. Dooonuuuuts.]

...isn't it hard to turn the pages?

There wasn't much of one when Ah first got here, but Ah've been workin' hard on it. [Although she lost a lot of the saplings in the big storm, but she's trying not to think about that too much.]

It's still not as big as the orchard back home, but with some work an' some tender lovin' care, it'll get there soon enough.

[She beams.]

Ah was hopin' y'all would be comin' over. Bring all the extra hooves ya can.

Nope. [Okay she's really confused here. Why would it be hard to turn pages?] Why d'ya ask?

[Oh, don't think he didn't see those Apple Donuts.] AHAHAHA! Great! I'll be over in a jiffy!

I dunno, it just seems like it would be really hard to do without... well... hands.

Hands're way harder ta work with, if ya ask me. Ah dunno how you hue-mans manage without gettin' 'em stuck in doors an' such.

[Because she kept closing hers in everything during that week she was human-shaped. No fun, thanks.]

[The enthusiasm is contagious!] You're welcome ta bring along some of your friends too, if ya want! The more the merrier!

I'll see if they're around. [And share the apple donuts? He doesn't think so.]
