[Applejack is back from her mission! And as much as she's tuckered out, she's happy to be home and makes her rounds to her various friends to let them know she's back. And also to make sure that Winona hasn't gone too crazy.

It isn't until she's back home that night and settling down that realization dawns and she can't help but laugh.]

Tarnation. Ah missed my own birthday, goin' ta help out the Malnosso. That musta taken longer than Ah realized.

But that means it's gettin' close ta Nightmare Night! An' that means the pumpkins are comin' in. It's not much of a pumpkin patch, but if anyone's wantin' ta come on by the farm an' pick one up, they'll make mighty fine jack-o-lanterns. [Soft chuckle.] Or pies, if that's what you're aimin' for.

[Pause. That has just reminded her...]

Gol-ly. Already closin' in on time for makin' cider, too. Would anyone mind lendin' a hoof with makin' cider? Ah promise it's well worth the work.

Indeed. There's comfort in familiarity and I'm pleased to see you're safe.

How did you fare on your mission?

It went pretty good. Kinda slow-goin', but Ah sure didn't mind helpin'.

[There's just a tiny hint of worry in her tone now. Only a tiny bit, though, because she's sure everything is fine with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna around.] Has everypony been doin' okay here?

They have been just fine. There was a slight discrepancy while you were away, but it was nothing too out of control.

(Even though it affected her too, but let's not think too much on that)

Discrepancy? [That doesn't sound too good, even if it didn't get out of control. :|] One'a those experiments from the Malnosso again?

I believe so, yes. It was quite a different take on amnesia, but it's nothing to worry about; things didn't ascend past the level of a prank.

(Because how else do you describe flash cards that put fake ideas into your head)

Pretty mean-spirited prank, if ya ask me. But Ah'm glad it didn't get too far outta control.

[Although amnesia happening on a village-wide scale sounds like it could have gotten ugly.]

Of course; it wouldn't quite be fitting of the Malnosso if it wasn't slightly mean spirited.

(Hence the flashcards, but the less said about them, but better.)

I'm sure we can use this period of respite to arrange a proper birthday party for you, however.

Ah'm sure. Pinkie's prob'ly already workin' on somethin', knowin' her. [Applejack chuckles. She's honestly a little surprised Pinkie hasn't burst out of a doorway at her yet.] Just havin' everypony around is all Ah could ask for anyhow.

[Well, that and a trip home to visit her family, but that part she'll admit is unlikely.]

(Give her time. It won't be long now.)

I'm sure they would all love to gather around for your celebration. Pinkie will likely invite all of Luceti, so there's certainly no need to worry about that.

[Okay, that got her laughing.]

Ah bet! It'll be a nice chance ta meet everypony, at least.

It certainly will. Once she makes you the mare of honor, you'll have plenty of time to meet the guests.
