[After nearly a full day of baking, everything is finally ready, and Applejack is far too happy with the results. It's about time to pay back her friends here for their help. And there's more food here than she quite realized she was making, so there's enough left over to feed just about anyone interested. Somehow, that just makes it all better. Everypony here needs some good home-style cooking from time to time. It's good for the soul.

And so, once she's got her tables set up out in the sunshine, laden with just about every appletastic treat imaginable, she sends out the message.]

Howdy, everypo-- everyone! [Slowly fixing ponyisms. Slowly.] If anyone's hungry, y'all can come on down ta the farmlands. Ah wanted ta say 'thank you' ta everyp-- everyone for helpin' me before, an'... [Sheepish chuckle.] Ah guess Ah went a li'l bit overboard. But there's food for anyp--one who's hungry! There's apple pie, apple fritters, apple cupcakes, apple donuts, caramel apples, candy apples, an' apple tarts.

All are welcome! [Slight pause. Idea! What if somepony's hurt or sick or working? With a nod, she adds,] An' if anyone needs somethin' delivered, you just let me know an' Ah'll bring it on over.

Sometimes I wish I had a brother or a sister. I just think it would be fun to have someone I could always do things with, and maybe even share stuff like clothes or books. You know, just to know what it's like.

[Oh, hayseed. Maybe that was not the time to talk about her family.]

Some folks don't get along so great if they're not good at sharin' with their brothers or sisters... but if ya can balance the give an' take, it's somethin' else.

[That might not make him feel better, AJ. She pauses for a beat and then brightens up.]

Y'know, if ya just wanna know what it's like, Ah could always be your sister for a day. Apple Bloom never minds sharin'.

[For one day increments, but Apple Bloom is also not here.]

[Well, THAT certainly catches him off guard.]

Really? You wouldn't mind? I mean, I don't want you to go out of your way for me or anything, but... if it's okay with you, I'd like that a lot. Thanks, Applejack.

'Course Ah wouldn't mind! An' it's not outta the way. Ah'd be real proud.

[Besides, after Rue disappeared, that Big Sister side of her has been suffering. This will be good for both of them.]

So, um... what do siblings usually do together? I know some people say they fight a lot with their siblings, but I think I'd rather skip that part and just go straight to the hanging out together or whatever.

Well, with me an' my brother an' sister, we usually help each other out around the farm. There's a lot ta do back home. [Not so much here in Luceti. Hmm.]

...Doesn't mean we can't have fun, though! Everythin' is a game ta play together if ya look at it right.

I could always help out with the farm if you want. I've never really done anything like that before... it might be fun. I mean, picking apples and stuff can't be that hard, right?

It's not always all that easy, either, but apple buckin' -- and pickin' -- ain't too bad. [Whoops, almost forgot that hue-mans don't buck the apples down. Rue already explained that it's picking country 'round here.]

My sister an' Ah had games for all kindsa farm chores, though! Even roundin' up the sheep an' squashin' grapes for juice is fun when you've got family with ya.

Apple bucking? What's that? I don't think I've ever heard of that before.

It's how we get the apples down at home. It's a lot easier ta kick the apples off the tree than climbin' every one of 'em.

[At least, it's easier when you have hooves instead of hands.]

I don't know if I'd be able to get that many apples down if I kicked the trees. It's probably a lot easier for someone like you to do it-- I think I'm a little too scrawny to be all that effective.

[She can't help but laugh at that.]

It's all in the practice, sugarcube! My li'l sister's still learnin' back home, she's prob'ly not any better than you at buckin' apples down. But don't worry 'bout it - there's plenty'a ways ta get the apples down even so.

What about hitting the tree with a baseball bat or something? Do you think that would work?
