[After nearly a full day of baking, everything is finally ready, and Applejack is far too happy with the results. It's about time to pay back her friends here for their help. And there's more food here than she quite realized she was making, so there's enough left over to feed just about anyone interested. Somehow, that just makes it all better. Everypony here needs some good home-style cooking from time to time. It's good for the soul.

And so, once she's got her tables set up out in the sunshine, laden with just about every appletastic treat imaginable, she sends out the message.]

Howdy, everypo-- everyone! [Slowly fixing ponyisms. Slowly.] If anyone's hungry, y'all can come on down ta the farmlands. Ah wanted ta say 'thank you' ta everyp-- everyone for helpin' me before, an'... [Sheepish chuckle.] Ah guess Ah went a li'l bit overboard. But there's food for anyp--one who's hungry! There's apple pie, apple fritters, apple cupcakes, apple donuts, caramel apples, candy apples, an' apple tarts.

All are welcome! [Slight pause. Idea! What if somepony's hurt or sick or working? With a nod, she adds,] An' if anyone needs somethin' delivered, you just let me know an' Ah'll bring it on over.

[Oh, how cute she is! Just like the other tiny horse Miyabi met that one time ago - Fluttershy! Only this one doesn't have wings, so she must be a regular little horse. Smiling just as she would to any person or creature, Miyabi bows her head in greeting and walks closer, looking out over the farmlands then back to the tiny horse.]

Of course, thank you for having me...ah, I'm sorry, I don't think I introduced myself before. I'm Miyabi, or Miya if you prefer.

It's real nice ta meetya, Miyabi. Ah'm Applejack. Or AJ, if that's easier.

[If they're introducing nicknames, she might as well even the field a bit. She beams.]

It's real good ta see so many new faces 'round here. It's always nice makin' new friends.

[Applejack? Heh, a name fitting her culinary skills, maybe? It's pretty cute, too. She smiles warmly in return and nods - new friends are always good to have and to meet.]

Oh, yes, I've met many kind people over time as I've lived here. I'm afraid i haven't seen you around very much, though, have you been here long, Applejack? Both in Luceti and here, at the farmlands, I mean. [Again, she looks around, and her smile only grows. This place really looks so nice, and well-kept.] I haven't been to the farms very much, but they look wonderful. You must've worked hard to get it this way, so thank you on behalf of everyone else here.

[Applejack puffs up proudly at the praise.] Thank ya for noticin'. A lotta folks don't seem ta realize how much this place needed shapin' up.

[Oh, right, how long she's been here. She pauses, one ear drifting sideways a bit as she tries to remember exactly how long. It seems like it hasn't been any time at all.]

It's only been a few months since Ah got here. Almost half a year, Ah think. How long've you been here, Miyabi?

[Goodness, Miyabi can't help the smile that spreads on her face as she watched Applejack, and notes her little ear quirk. She really is very cute, and Miyabi has to bite her lip to keep from giggling. She just has to keep telling herself to be polite and that speaking with Applejack is like speaking with any other animal she can understand.]

Ah...me? Mm, I think it's been...two--no. Almost three years. [And Miyabi actually has to take a moment to let that sink in, her face becoming a bit serious.] This winter, yes. ...It'll be three years.

Three years? [Okay, she doesn't mind staying here for now and helping to keep the farm in shape, but three years? She has to get home! Sure, folks have explained that time won't move back home, but she still has a family to get home to! She's sure most folks here do.

That thought makes the shocked look on her face soften. She can really feel for this poor creature.]

Ah dunno if Ah could stand it, bein' here three years.

[Haha...ha. Miyabi tries to smile, but it's not nearly as honest or sincere as her previous ones. Being in Luceti for so long really wasn't her idea of a swell time, and she had many things to worry about back home - which forever remain unresolved as long as she's here, right? Miyabi can't stop worrying...nor can she ever fulfill her dream, her goal, her duty. Not here in Luceti.

Yet, still...she's managed.]

Mm, well...I won't say it ever gets easier, because it never does, but I've managed it. And I've made so many new friends, some I consider my special family, so it's not all bad, I suppose. I-I think I've grown here in ways I never could back home.
